I painted this wooded landscape primarily using a palette knife. This painting is 36″x48″ acrylic on canvas. I personally stretch each of my canvases by hand. It is a gallery wrapped canvas with the 1 1/2″ deep edges painting dark. The wire hanger at the back makes the piece easy to hang, and it hangs flush with the wall. No framing is necessary. This painting was inspired by the rising moon at sunset when the last bit of daylight still glows behind the tree trunks, but behind the tree tops the sky is dark and the moon is glowing.
